Michelle for her help with the layout and iframes and being a lovely, lovely person.
Aryanna who found me the javascript I needed to get the cast page looking the way I wanted it to.
GalaxyMagicStar for the banner and also fo rbeing one of the loveliest ladies I have ever had the opportunity to meet, online and off.
Marsden for finding the flaws in my html without even being asked ^^

And for their support, friendship and just being fantastic people:
Adam Sager always supportive, always caring and a agreat friend
Kuro, Jimi, Nidri, Esker Whitepaw and all of those folks who are willing to "listen" to me spout out my ideas like a hosepipe. I love you all!

Inspiration

I feel I should list here the stories and so forth the I drew insiration and ideas from, just so nobody points fingers and accuses me of plagerism... Here's some stuff that inspired Furritasia:

Books:
"Obernewtyn" Chronicles by Isobelle Carmody - Post holocaust world in which much of the land is poisonous and some humans are born with special powers. Unfortunately as the books get longer the stories get somewhat duller.
"Assassin's Apprentice" trilogy by Robin Hobb - the epic story of a young boy, bastard son of the king and his training as an assassin. At times grim, very exciting - compeling reading.
"Elfquest" by the Pinis - Feral elves in a world ruled by humans - great graphic novels. I stole the term "flesh shaping" from them.
"Outlander" series by Diana Galbaldon - 1930s girl in an 18th century world. It's all Galbadon's fault that Daniel wound up Scottish!.

Music:
Anyone with half an eye open would realise that this story contains excessive quotes from bands, most of which are credited at the time. I feel I should explain myself here - a, I can't write songs very well and prefer to let the masters do the work. b, Music inspires me and c, It is my way of playing tribute to some of the great and alas, fairly obscure, musicians. Here are the bands I have quoted:
Nightwish, Mercury Rev, PowerQuest.

And I think I may have quoted a few greeting cards but we'll jsut ignore that one. That's what happens when you stare at the cursed things all day! (Hey, it's my job, I'm not mad, really!).

Oh and lastly, the name - some of you may think "Furritasia" is a derivative of "Fantasia" well it is, kinda but I actually derived it from "Avantasia" a very, very fine metal act who had most likely taken it from "Fantasia" in the first place.

Btw, any resemblance to people real or imaginary is probably intentional but only in the vaguest sense of the word. Yes, some of the chars are based on real people (two of which are me) and at least one is based on a real cat. If you can spot where some of the chars came from, then kudos to you! And if anyone asks, Arron the albino ringtailed lemur was inspired by "Saphyre" the albino ringtail in the documentary "Tale of a Lemur" and any resemblance to other albino ringtailed lemurs is entirely coincidental. All chars, stories and of course the world of Furritasia are © Angela "LemurKat" K-S and should not be used without permission, so help me Elysia.

That is all, thank you once again I hope you enjoyed your visit.
