From the moment Randolph first went to school, he was a bully - but not your mindless, dumb bully. No, Randolph had a much more sophisticated mind then that. He gathered together a gang of his fellow age-mates that undertook in sly, underhanded and emotional torment of the other kids. Randolph never involved himself directly in such ploys, always acting as "Advisor" to the nominated leader.

At the traditional age of thirteen, Randolph was sent off to Tirra-Inle. Here he became involved in student politics. With his charisma and charm, he was easily elected Student President. That year there were more riots and species clashes then in any of the ten years previously, and Randolph stepped down partway through in shame and humiliation at how badly he had failed to bring control to the student rabble.
